Pace Law alumna Anna N. Sideris featured in The New York Times article, “Ghailani’s Lawyers Detail Terror Defense Strategy”.

Anna N. Sideris, a Pace Law alumna, discussed representing terrorism suspect with The New York Times in the story, “Ghailani’s Lawyers Detail Terror Defense Strategy.”  Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani was on trial for conspiring with Al Qaeda in the 1998 bombings of two American Embassies in East Africa.  The defense team for Ghlailani argued that their client was tricked by Al Qaeda into the plot and actually had no knowledge of the bombing conspiracies.

“Developing trust with the client was huge in this case,” Sideris said, “because we needed him to open up and just talk to us, so we could learn his story — which was our defense.”
