Fandom, a blog on the ESPN website, includes an article co-authored by Brett Harris Pavony, ’12 grad, and attorney Jaia Thomas, also of Pace Law. The post discusses the growing field of trademark law in the sports world– athletes (and others) trademarking everything from “Linsanity” to “man on a mission.”
The piece grew out of an article that originally appeared in PIPSELF, the Pace IP Sports and Entertainment Law Forum. The Pace article is here. The ESPN version (which leaves off Brett’s name for some reason) is here.
