Dean Yassky discusses the value of a legal education

Dean David Yassky is the focus of a feature article that appears in the “Westchester Business Journal.” Among the questions the writer asks is whether Dean Yassky thinks a legal education makes sense in the current economy and market place.

“There are a lot of jobs in addition to traditional law firm associate jobs, where legal skills and law school training are immensely valuable,” Dean Yassky is quoted as saying. “Jobs like compliance at banks or pharmaceutical companies, jobs at big accounting firms that deal with corporate transactions or investigations, those are jobs that call for traditional legal skills even though they don’t have ‘lawyer’ in the name of the job.”
