As reported on Huffington Post, almost 800 former EPA employees signed a letter calling for the Senate to deny the confirmation of Scott Pruitt, President Trump’s nominee to head the Environmental Protection Agency. Among them was Judith Enck, Pace Law’s Haub Visiting Scholar. The letter cites Pruitt’s public record in opposition to the mission of the EPA as well as his position as a climate change denier.
“It is clear that [Pruitt] will launch an unprecedented attack on basic environmental protections that will result in more pollution and illnesses for the American people,” Enck, is quoted as saying. “He will do permanent damage to the work of the EPA.”
