Professor James Fishman teaches courses in Contracts, Corporations and Partnerships, and Non-Profit Organizations. He is currently a member of both the board of directors of the Youth Advocacy Center and the Fulbright Senior Specialists Panel. Prof. Fishman also frequently serves as a commercial and securities arbitrator. Prior to joining the Pace Law School faculty, Professor Fishman was the executive director of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
Professor Fishman has co-authored two books, New York Nonprofit Law and Practice and Cases and Materials on Nonprofit Organizations, and has published on his own, The Transformation of Threadneedle Street: The Deregulation and Reregulation of Britain’s Financial Services. Professor Fishman also writes on topics of international securities regulation, non-profit corporation law and legal issues pertaining to the visual arts.
