Professor Thomas McDonnell teaches International Human Rights Law, Criminal Law Analysis and Writing, and Advanced Appellate Advocacy, and coaches the Jessup Moot Court Team. He is the author of a book, The United States, International Law and the Struggle against Terrorism, and was the principal author on an amicus curiae brief to the New York Court of Appeals on a right to counsel issue. He has also written a host of articles dealing with lawyering, legal research, and international human rights law.
Prior to joining the Pace Law faculty, Prof. McDonnell worked at Legal Services, where he practiced consumer, immigration, and housing law. He was also an associate with Stapleton & McDonnell, where his work focused on criminal appellate practice.
